In search.

Finding a thousand and one reasons.

Everyday I sit and ask myself
How did love slip away

Random day.

Yesterday was just one of those days when you have decided to go out but not sure where to. Anyhow, Nabz and I met in the early evening and staggered our way to Downtown East lugging our laptops along.

After searching high and low for a suitable place to settle down, we eventually made ourselves comfortable in a cosy corner of Fish&Co. Express. We spent quite some time there before heading to Mcdonalds to chill in another little cosy corner with the rest.

Second deadly shot at it!
:D

A tad bewildering.

You are my routine.

Detrimental.

The echo of fear.
Sometimes, I really dislike having some personal time on my own. This is the time when I begin to sort out my thoughts. Yes, it may be an advantage to me as it brightens my perceptions which enables wiser decisions. Yet on the other hand, it puts me in disadvantage as my mind tends to bow towards the worst. It just makes me ponder way too much.
One word describes it all:
SHITTY.

I guess after all, lives of DPs are not intertwined.

Going on incessantly.

It has never ceased, hasn't it? Way too distracting, I don't quite like it. However, some of my thoughts aren't within my grasp.

I took in both of you guys' advices and hopped on to a bus to work today instead of my usual public transport- cab. It felt strange, as though it was my virgin bus ride. Well, sortaaa.

Guess what, I was deployed as the bar runner, again! Okay, this was my second shot at it. Funny as it seems, I had a good feeling about being the bar runner this time, unlike previously. It was indeed pretty relaxing for me as we barely had much crowd, so I helped out with everything else I could. Hanah juggled between greeter and B, whereas May Ann did runner and A. Nadz was working, which implied that he was the MOD, which implied that he did the deployment, which implied that he was the one who put me as bar runner.

Anyhow, barely two hours on the floor, Hanah and I started to grumble how hungry we were. When we finally got our break, both of us were ecstatic at the thought of food. To our disappointment, the staff meal was pretty sad. Let me see, rice, and, chicken? That's all.

Apparently, when it was time for Hanah, Mon, Ash and I to get on the floor, there were only like two tables? So Charie put us on hold first. All we did was talk and talk and talk. Need I say more?

Crowd gradually came in, but I wouldn't even say it was packed on a Sunday night. Mon and Ash were on the floor already, so it was only left with Hanah and I. She told me several stories about her cats and all. Well, I would say I have learnt a couple of things from her. Pretty interesting stuff. We shared Hot Fudge along the way as well.

At about 2015, Charie came in and told us that only one would be needed, so Hanah was spared, but I was fine with working again. I was to take over Mon at 2030. So basically, Mon only worked for an hour.

Highlight of the day was that Ween came down! My soulmate and cheese came to pick me up from work and we headed home together :D

Four messages down. Probably (12-4=8) eight more to go(:

Burning sweetly.

8 June 2009, Monday:

1130 Soulmate forced me out of bed. I was supposed to meet her, however, there were some changes in our plan. While Nabilah went out with Ash, I was with Farhan as he needed to run some errands.

In the end, all of us went down and gathered at Fish&Co. before leaving for awhile to pack our late lunch/ early dinner back to the store. Nabilah and I gotten fishball noodles for ourselves, The rest ordered a variety of food from Katrina. We happily set our table and placed our food right in front of us back in the store.
Time to dig in.

Then here came along a pretty shocking incident. As I was reaching out for Ash's food, I toppled mine over and onto my bag. Everyone was dumbfounded, apart from me. I mean, I immediately broke out into laughter when the rest were simply just in shock. Okay, with the exception of Ash too. He was still indulging himself in his food.

Nadz grabbed my bag and rushed to get rid of the remnants and Anne accompanied him to clean my bag as well. Thanks, you guys. If I were to do it myself, I would have probably soaked my entire bag in the mop water.

Apparently, we just slacked at Fish&Co., as though it is our second home. We sent Anne out, we bought Magnum White, we went for toilet breaks, smoke breaks and et cetera. It is just the place to be when you have nothing to do at all.

Khai and Hakim came down at around 2000, thereabout. So, the movie was supposedly at 2100, but Hakim didn't join us. Instead, another friend of theirs, Hadi, tagged along. Terminator Salvation is just the movie to set you on the edge of your seats.

Right after the movie, Nadz sent Nabz home while the rest of us chilled at the usual smoking spot. Once Ash decided to go back to the store to do whatever necessary, Hadi, Khai, dearest and I walked over to their bikes and headed for Simpang Bedok.

Over at Simpang, there were two cats wandering around. Naturally, I was constantly on my guard. Khai, being himself, will always try to attract the cats over. However, when the cat finally came, he did something that surprised me. Khai took a piece of leftover chicken (chicken?!) and tried to lure the cat to the nearest dustbin which was like several metres away. Okay, that information was redundant.

I got home slightly before 0200, but I didn't even receive a single call from my dad. Guess he gave up on attempting to keep me home. After what Nabilah told me, I wonder if that is a good thing to me, or otherwise.

9 June 2009, Tuesday:

I started out my day with Nabz and Nadz when they came to my block. Actually, Nadz was only there to drop Nabz off with me. Haha. Then off I went with Nabz to..
TAMPINES MALL. *Groans*

We managed to catch a movie before meeting Farhan. After he left for his car practical, both of us followed Nadz to F.I.S.H. Just as we were getting comfortable in our seats, Nadz halau us back to Fish&Co.

As soon as dearest came back, we left the store and walked Nabz to the train station. Instead of going home right away, dearest and I first went to the petrol kiosk. I didn't know a queue can actually be formed at a petrol kiosk. I was dumbfounded.

Anyway, while waiting in line, I randomly asked dearest what would happen should there be an unscrupulous person who just drives off without footing the bill. Just minutes later, someone actually did attempt to escape, but no, the uncles chased after that driver. Uncles baik.

Since we didn't know where to go, dearest randomly proposed to go to Seng Kang. What the oceanfishnuggets, right? But I didn't mind it at all. We simply just sit and chill for a bit before he sent me home. So apparently, I got home pretty early, say slightly before midnight.

10 June 2009, Wednesday:

My Wednesday was probably one of a kind.

I worked from noon to 1600, then Nabz came down to find me. Soon after, dearest met up with the both of us too.

As we were all starving, like always, we decided to dine in at Billy Bombers.
YAY, NAKED GUN WITH MELTED CHEESE AND CHEDDAR CHEESE AND ROOTBEER FLOOOAAAT!
I had such a nice and peaceful time with my best friends :D

Once dearest left with Nadz and Ash, we were left on our own. Thereafter, we did what we usually do, and we had the intention of dropping by Anne's place to pass her the boards. However, due to my nauseousness, I couldn't make my way there. My apologies to both darlings of mine.

Thankfully, Nabilah was pretty nonchalant about me throwing up even though she has seen this revolting side of me before. I didn't want her to panic or worry so much. She wanted to accompany me home by cab. Guess what, I had my first shot at puking in a plastic bag. Well, I was so glad I had a bag with me, so I just threw up in it when we were in the cab, nearing my place.

Soulmate was so sweet and caring. Not only did she send me back to my place, she also went through the trouble of escorting me all the way to my doorstep. I appreciate it with every single bit of my heart. Thank you, sweetheart(:

I reached home at 2230, frigging early. I hurriedly took my good shower as I felt really filthy. Then I crashed on my bed, couldn't care less about anything else.

11 June 2009, Thursday:

Before meeting the gentlemen, Nabz, Anne and I were at E! Hub's New York New York for some light snacks, and not forgetting, rootbeer float!

As predicted, Farhan was the first to meet us. Next came Khai and Hadi, followed by Nadz and Ash. What else can we do at E! Hub apart from bowling?

Nearing the end of the game, dearest had to leave us. That was also the last time I saw him before he left for NS. How time flies, right? But I am sure time will pass fleetingly fast for him in camp as well. I am missing dearest so much.

After bowling, the six of us went to Subway for our late dinner or supper, whichever you prefer. Hadi is indeed a walking encyclopedia. He is the weapon for the rest to counter attack me. Haha. Damn!

We parted pretty early. Luckily Hadi lent me his helmet as we didn't have enough helmets for all of us. So while Hadi and Ash stayed together for awhile, the other two sent Nabz and I home.

When I got home, the guys said to me the same thing using different means of communication. How sporadic. Anyway, Nadz called me and that was the first thing he said. But his main purpose was to get me to go down to the store at 0800 tomorrow.
0800?!
I agreed anyway. To do my small little part.

Okay, I climbed onto my bed at around 0200, but apparently, I didn't exactly fall asleep then. I woke up occasionally to reply my texts, which was a good thing, I reckon. However, I overslept for like an hour!

12 June 2009, Friday:

The day has finally arrived. 12 June, the day dearest dreaded. Off he went to Pulau Tekong. My day felt weird knowing that he isn't around. I wonder how many more of such days must I go through. But so long as I know he is safe and sound, I am already glad.

It may have been a really tiring morning, but somehow or rather, I felt that everything was kind of worthwhile as unity was the key. I felt the warmth. How moving. After all, we reap what we sow.

Dearest Anne left for Hong Kong already. I am missing her as well. I am sure she has already reached Hong Kong. I hope she has been feeling all right throughout her flight. I pray for her safety though I am only a free-thinker. I want her to enjoy herself.
Please don't bring back the accent(:

Dearest called me at 2145 earlier on. I was surprised, yet I was thrilled. I am so glad he is good. I told him to give Khai a call since he has yet to board his plane, and so he did. I miss dearest sooo much.

Dearest Khai's plane just took off. I will miss him too. I hope he will have a safe trip to Gold Coast. I hope he would have a good sense of direction when he wanders off alone and away from his family. I want him to enjoy himself too.

I hate the fact that it is you.

.. (to Siska) supposedly doing greeter. At the every next instant, I approached Ash and he told me to ask Mhars. When I did, I merely grumbled and she asked Nisa if she was willing to have a swap of deployments. I was so grateful that Nisa sacrificed herself for me, really. I simply cannot handle greeter line.

Apparently, I had three incidents which took place under my station yet the customers didn't make a big fuss about it. So I am wondering if it is something I should be upset about or something I should rejoice about.

Initially, I wanted to narrate every single detail of the three incidents, but after procrastinating for a night, I have decided that I am too lazy to do so. But in any case, this is a brief summary of the happenings:
1. A lady got choked on a fish bone and she said she would make her way to A&E.
2. There were glass shards on plates which had already been served to the customers.
3. A customer found a 'Happy Birthday' sign in her drink.
As for the rest of the details, I shall leave it up to your imagination.

Could.

Friday, 0830 I was already broke till the core of my pocket, but I was left with no choice, so I had to fork out ten bucks for my cab fare. An exact amount of ten dollars.

0900 Commencement of Marketing Fundamentals paper. When I browsed through the first few pages of the script, I heaved a sigh of relief in silent as there were fifteen MCQs instead of the usual number of ten questions. However, section B stumped me. There were only two questions, one consisting of fifteen marks and the other, twenty marks.
SHIZZZT!

After our final paper, Hamz, Cryst, Mas and I walked over to Tampines West Mcdonalds for our breakfast. Yay, I am finally hanging out with them after eons. A walk back to school came after a hearty breakfast.

I met up with Nabz and we headed to Tampines Mall (!!!) for lunch. Not me, but her. Her lunch, not mine. Throughout our stay at Burger King, I had fun using her phone while she was holding on to my phone sending songs over to hers. She has unlimited messages so I couldn't help but to exploit the privilege. I started to send "Lu tak senonoh" to several people we know. Just so you know, I learnt 'tak senonoh' from Hamz and Mas. Does this answer your question, dearest?

Apparently, everyone who replied had the same reaction.
"Huh?!" (Anne)
"Huh?" (Ain)
"Huh?"
(Ash)
"Huh? What is that about?" (Khai)
"Wat sia?"
(Nadz)
Then my reply would be..
"Gua step minah jer."Italic
"Please don't. Scares me."
(Nadz) Hahaha.
I had fun doing such nonsense.

As we were really out of ideas of what to do or where to go, we merely roamed around aimlessly like vagrants who have nothing else better to do. We were already at our wits' end, so we went down to Fish&Co. along with Anne.

When Nabz went off and Anne was at work, I was practically degenerating at the store. Obstructing their operation but helping Betty out at the same time. Apparently, I was like her sidekick, fetching her ice when she ran out of it, concocting beverages for her while she was busy with salads and such.

Farhan eventually came at nine, thereabout. We bought four double cheese burgers in total, and I finally ate something with more substance that day. I was famished, even my toes cried in mercy. But I didn't really have the appetite to eat anyway. Sort of? I was confused myself.

Once Ash and Anne knocked off, off we went to E! Hub. Forever, you know. Anne, Ash and I hopped on Rau's car while dearest and Khai travelled on their bikes. Just as I was getting comfortable in the car, we had to get out of it since we reached E! Hub so soon.

The waiting list for bowling is as long as Santa's naughty list. Meanwhile, we chilled outside Starbucks, but halfway through, Anne had to return home, so she left us. Nadz joined us too, and Khai and I didn't bowl. I mean, me, bowl? Haha. So we just sat at the table behind and watch.

I ended the day just like that, arriving home at 0200, and daddy didn't even contact me. How awesome is that. But spending nearly eighteen hours outside sure has taken a toll on me.

I had to work the following day at 1800, and I thought work would be good, but guess I was wrong about it.

I took a cab to work. Yes, cab, again. I had no other choice. Time was a factor, but something else drove me to hailing a cab. Enough of it.

I went to work and the first thing I did was to check my deployment, and only to find out that I was..

Hold my gaze.

Before it slips out of my mind, let me narrate a little accident that just happened to me few minutes ago. Apparently, my cup of rootbeer tipped over by accident and it spilled on my coffee table, making a small yet huge mess. The initial thing that came to my mind was to get a few pieces of tissue, and so I walked to the usual spot where my tissue box would sit at, only to realise it was placed right beside the mess.

I wanted to run into a wall for my forgetfulness, but instead of going all suicidal, I went over to the mess and piled tissue papers on the spill. Seeing it doesn't clear up the entire mess, it pushed my panic button and I rushed to the kitchen to get myself a cloth. It definitely worked in soaking up all the liquid, but I am uncertain the coffee table is now spic and span. Whatever it is, I cross my fingers that ants would steer clear from my coffee table.

I don't really want to comment about my paper today since it is still too early to say anything at all. Oh, just so you know, it was Retail Accounting 1 test I sat for earlier this morning. Just as I was ready to hand my script up, I glanced at the clock and realised it was 0950 already. I lost my opportunity to exit earlier, but it doesn't make a vast difference anyway.

1000 Ms Ng instructed me to collect the scripts for my class. Typical reaction of mine: "Whaaat?!" But actually, I was just exaggerating. It wouldn't hurt me to do this little favour, would it?

After my paper, I left my girls and met up with Anne to have our lunch at Fish&Co. It was still extremely early when we got to the store, so we had to wait impatiently yet patiently with our stomachs rumbling like thunders of a fierce storm.

1132 Charie announced the opening of store, and we darted out to the greeter stand, waiting for Betty to bring us in.

Food was good, and halfway through our meal, Nabilah joined us for awhile before getting down on the floor. Anne and I went to get some things done and when we returned to station D, I tried helping her out, reading my novel, and finally crashing on the seat. It may not be as comfortable as my bed at home, but I felt great warmth and a sense of security just lying there even with people around.

Nabilah and I left Fish&Co. approximately at 1930, and along with Ain, we headed to Downtown East for dinner. Guess where we ate? Fish&Co. Express. Haha!

Despite being all full and bloated, we were still full of vigor, doing the usual stuff we three always do together. Singing and dancing, but not dancing, if you get what I mean :D

We got to the roof and started with our usual therapy before getting high. We were drug-free, trust us. I was a tad giddy so I climbed onto the parapet wall and stood there. You probably wouldn't be able to make any sense out of it, but it makes sense for me to stand there at that moment when I was having slight dizzy spells. I balanced my way to the near end of it, which means if I were to fall diagonally to my left, you would see my face in tomorrow's obituary. It was scary yet thrilling, but I was completely in a clear state of mind.

It was really quiet, so Nabilah suggested to have some music blasting. It triggered all the singing and dancing, getting us laughing hysterically throughout the entire mini party we had. There were absolutely no one there, so we let our hair down and jump/ dance like it was our own club to call it.

I really enjoyed myself there because it was sort of a great way to distress ourselves and shed some weight at the same time. Unleashed the wild dragon inside of us and behaved like we were deprived of drugs. See the connection yourself.

I am dead beat.
Goodnight.

Felony.

I shouldn't be here at all. Instead, I should be burying myself in my RA1 notes. However, I am in the mood of rambling here, so after browsing through my notes for approximately fifteen minutes, I chucked it aside and involved myself in blogging.

CSA test was definitely da shizzzt. I was stumped upon reading majority of the questions, but I kind of did try my very best to come up with logical yet nonsensical answers. Who would ever know what functions and utilities Windows Vista have?

So I left the test venue few minutes before 1150, then I met Anne. Soon after, Nabilah joined us and we walked to Ash's area to meet him. Our next stop was Ikea (as suggested by the magnificently Jean), so we headed to Ikea and did typical things people can do at Ikea. Farhan came to find us at Ikea too.

When he had to leave Ikea, Ash, Nabilah, Anne and I got to Fish&Co. to slack. The store is like a place we all have to visit every single day.

Nadz ended his shift slightly later than his scheduled time, but we waited for him, anyway. Finally, everyone confirmed they can make it to Changi Village that evening, unfortunately, Anne had to go home.

Anne took 29 home whilst Ash and I alighted at Changi Village's bus terminal. Gradually, the rest came in to join us. Apparently, there were only six of us. Haha.

We slacked at an area somewhere near the ferry terminal after the hungry people got their stomachs satisfied. Towards the end, the guys' friend came to join us as well. As requested by Anne, we rode back to her house to lepak. Tonight, I had two other bikes to escort me home again. Haha. Yay, I didn't get home too late. It was about 2330 when I arrived at home and now, I am dead beat, honestly.

Goosenuts.

The Floor Is Getting Dirty.

I got home early today.
I am simply too tired.
I don't feel like studying Microeconomics. Then again, when do I ever feel like doing my revision?

Yes, one paper down, but no, I don't feel like talking about it. Please step in my shoes :D

The usual start-up picture flashed across my screen, and seconds later, I saw a text message from Anne. I panicked as I thought she was waiting for me anxiously, so I pressed the green button on her number and waited impatiently for her to answer my call. However, it was to no avail. Then Amanda rang me up and I scooted off to the Mushroom to meet her. Like, literally. I darted (of course not) down the stairs and it was so quiet I could even hear my own footsteps and the whistling of the gentle wind.

In case you are still oblivious, I am beginning to spout nonsense, blabber gibberish. That is because.. I am really dead beat.

Anyhow, as I was squirming through the crowd, I spotted you-know-who and before I know it, I was walking so fast that I was waaaaayyy in front of him, already exiting Business school and heading towards Mushroom. Just so you know, I was walking fast because I was in a hurry to meet Amanda.

After much walking, Amanda and I decided to go to Tampines Mall for lunch whilst waiting for that bunch of people to get here from Kallang which would probably take them nine years to arrive if it isn't ten. Being the usual lazy us, we agreed on flagging for a cab, and so we did.

Just as we got onto cab, Anne called to tell me to head to Tampines Safra. Thank god (You're welcome.) it wasn't too late for the driver to change his direction to the right. Well, I suppose you get what I mean.

We were famished and we had to eat, so other than Mind Cafe, I doubt there is any other places at Safra we would consider having our lunch there. Food was considerably good enough for me not to fuss over it.

Then this whole gang of little people (not midgets, though), consisting of Nadz, Khai, Farhan, Ash, Leonard and Hakim, came along to this little town. Soon enough, Anne and Beth joined us too. We sat around in the cafe before they went to bowl.

After the intense competition between two teams of excellent bowlers, we decided to go to Tampines Mall. Yes, Tampines Mall. Not again!

All of us, including Nabilah, went down to Fish&Co. to sit around and act like big shots hovering all over the restaurant as though we own the place while the new fishes undergo their training. Haha.

When Anne and Beth had to leave, Nabilah and I sent them to the taxi stand before going back down awaiting for the announcement of the next destination. So 'walk around' was the only constructive suggestion we were able to come up with despite having seven brains in total. Oh, wait! Does Khai have a brain? Hahaha. Dodo :D

In the end, after rounds of aimless strolling, we headed to Changi, outside of the airport, near the runway, or whatever you call it. Sorry to sound like a hermit in the shell, frog in the well, but it was an awesome place for someone like me. That is me for you to know.

I got home pretty early, and I was fortunate enough to have two other bikes escorting me home. Yes, dearest, I am feeling sooooo honoured.

Goodnight, people of (micro) economics.
